Bandits Try To Rob Man Outside Home Of K.I.

A man is at this time nursing a gunshot wound he got while reportedly trying to rob a man outside the home of new Chutney Soca Monarch, Kris Persad better known as K.I. The incident occurred at around 4 o’clock yesterday morning at Third Avenue, Barataria. It is said the man approached the group, pulled out a firearm and announced a hold up.
He reportedly snatched the gold chain of one man and demanded the keys to his vehicle. One of the victims pulled out a licensed firearm and shot the man in the upper chest. Officers from the Barataria Police Station were called to the scene. Up to last night the suspect was still at the hospital in a serious condition. The group was outside K.I.’s house celebrating his victory on Saturday night.
