After attending a sound clash at Mobs 2 in 2004, with the likes of Tony Matterhorn and Mighty Crown, Maiks quickly began showing his love for the sound system and it’s style of playing music. Later during that year , Maiks became a member of the Dementional Sound System and started focusing on becoming one of the top Mic men in Trinidad and Tobago. His aspiration is to be in the league of notable sound systems, like Jamaica’s Stone Love, Bass Odyssey, England’s David Rodgian and Japan’s Mighty Crown. In 2005 Maiks joined the Citadel Ltd - RED 96.7fm, as an announcer, which is the leading Caribbean Urban radio station in Trinidad and Tobago. He provided a dynamic experience on the airwaves and immediately listeners took notice of his unique style and powerful personality.
